The Beatings Will Continue...

Yes, they will continue.  Today's Morale is in such a sorry state I am afraid to even think upon it, let alone write this post about it.  Nevertheless, here I am, thinking and posting about it.  Why?  Because as of late, I have looked at the world's architecture, their style, and their entertainment.  The other day, I looked around as we drove down the Interstate, the same usual drive that we do when going to work, to play, meetings, and all other kinds of things (that's what an interstate is for, right?  Anyway...).  I saw people driving in their cars as we drove past them, and them past us, and somehow connected with what that person must be feeling by looking at their posture and facial expressions, reinforced with a bumper sticker sometimes and leaned over and said to my dad, "The world is pretty ugly, isn't it, Dad?"
"Yes," was his reply, "but it is also so beautiful, isn't it?"
I realized that we were talking about different things.  I pointed out that the subject was the world as in the culture, but my dad noted something spectacular.

The world is a beautiful place.  It was made that way.  God saw the Garden of Eden and said that it was good.  In fact, it was perfect.  One fateful day, Adam fell into sin, disobeying God, eating of the fruit forbidden to him, leading the entire world - all his offspring into a cursed life of sin and plain ugliness.  The remnant of that can be seen around us, however, in the grass beneath our feet, the air we breath, and the heavens we see above.  Ever since man's fall into sin, man has been brutally beaten.

I, however, thought in post fall terms for the moment.  Think about it.  The first beating of man was the actual fall into sin.  That was the event that started it all.  Man on that very day was throne amongst the thorns and forced to labor and break sweat for the cause of his family.  Man has been banished from a perfect world, because imperfection cannot dwell with perfection and even attempt to function.  If we do, we ruin it.

The second event is the first murdering in the history of the world, when cain slay his brother for jealous reasons.  God beat Cain for the rest of his line which was eventually wiped out in the flood, another great beating of mankind for their foolish ambitions.  After this, man decided to make a name for himself and reach heaven with a building that would supposedly lead them to be like God.  (Which by the way was how Satan tempted Eve)  As mankind's next beating, we were scattered and we could not speak each other's language.  We were halted right then and there.  Bam!  "No god-status for you!" God emphatically tells man over and over as tyrannical governments rise only to fall, over and over again, upon their own shaky sandy foundation of sin.  The world tries to become like God, but they are utterly gross and sinful in doing so.

In today's modern age of science, we have shifted to build a mountain of knowledge unlike the world has ever seen in the history of the world.  Modern man knows a LOT.  The one thing he denies, although is The Sovereign and His Holy Law.  The beatings will continue until the morale improves.  We may be experiencing (In America especially) the wealthiest most God blessed world we have known, but we are in decline because of our trust in knowledge and money.  We think we can do what we want because now, Modern man has the cure to anything, no matter what God may send, whether Modern man professes Yahweh or not.  He knows He is there, and is rivaling against Him, whether he admits it or not.  In fact, the denial of God is in fact one of the vices that man uses to make himself look better and "like God" as he has done throughout history.  Because of this we are beginning to face a tyranny that so far we (as a whole) are comfortable with.

As we drove along and I looked at man's structure's, man's style, and man's own bodies, I see nose rings, tattoos, immodesty, and most of all death.  I see it in their faces.  Men are putting their foot in the grave and they think it's cool.  It's in.  It's "hip."  Men are made to be images of God, and the defacing of such an image (the property of God himself) with markings like tattoos and such, is extremely despicable in my view.  Body modification is temple destruction.  If our bodies are temples of God, then why would we want to spread graffiti all over it?  As I said man is ugly, his morale is ugly, and until he recognizes the City of God for what it is and the City of Man for what it is, the beatings will continue.
